Katie Adamson was a young animal enthusiast who volunteered at the zoo.  Her dream was to become a zookeeper and to help save endangered animals, but in 2014 she passed away from cancer.  Her mentor at the local zoo went to Katie's parents and asked if he could start a non-profit conservation organization in Katie's name.  With their backing, the Katie Adamson Conservation Fund was born and has expanded to a multitude of countries around the world.  It helps endangered species by supporting individuals and communities through sustainable projects and youth education.
